Recent award of electromechanical works for the revamp of Pak American Fertilizer Limited, Sikandarabad is yet another significant accomplishment by Descon. Complete project has been divided in two phases. In first phase Descon will carry out maintenance & repair works for primary reformer. This job will be done during January 2009. Major Job will begin from thereon where Descon has been awarded electro mechanical works of revamp of Ammonia Plant. JDL will be responsible for the Engineering Design of the piping works. Scope includes installations of new gas compressor unit, new air compressor unit, CO2 compressor unit, new pre-reformer, waste heat boiler (replacement), fabrication & installation of integrated piping, fabrication & erection of steel structure. Moreover related E & I works are also included in the scope of Descon. Job will start in January 2009 and is expected to reach completion by June 2009.

Descon’s newly established Kuwait area has recently been awarded with the electro mechanical erection works of a 5500 TPD cement plant by Kuwait Cement Company. The plant is expected to reach its completion in two years, utilizing peak manpower of thirteen hundred. Descon will also be responsible for supply of the manufactured equipment; steel structure and 6000 tons of plate work, for the plant. Manufacturing will take place at Descon’s Hamriyah workshop.
